Ex Library (Dominican Convent Cabra) with two small library stamps on ffep. Internally a bright and clean copy. Some minor damp localised damp damage to the fore edge, not affecting text. Overall a very nice copy in a sturdy leather binding. See images. The Council of Trent (Concilium Tridentinum), held between 1545 and 1563 in Trent (or Trento), now in northern Italy, was the 19th ecumenical council of the Catholic Church. Prompted by the Protestant Reformation at the time, it has been described as the embodiment of the Counter-Reformation.
