Prize binding for Trinity College Dublin with their arms on front and rear boards in gilt. Gilt and blind decorations. Spine label with gilt title. Very good condition. Binding rubbed and bumped with minor material losses (see images). Edges and end papers dust dulled. Prize label tipped in. Large closed tear to folded chart. Internally a little dust dulled, otherwise clean.

Contemporary speckled calf. Blind line decorations. Very good condition. Rubbed and bumped with some material losses to corners, spine ends and boards (see images). Front and rear hinge started, but binding remains sound. Raised bands. Edges and end papers age darkened. Faint name of previous owner on title page. Internally age darkened and occasionally foxed. Overall still a nice sound copy.
