Binding rubbed and bumped with some abrasions (see images). Sound original binding. Edges age darkened. Numerous inscriptions/annotations. Names of previous owners inscribed largely in many places throughout the book. Some dust dulling and staining, some closed tears. Text block complete. Most plates present, some with losses (see comments below). A very good reading copy of the now scarce first edition.
