Ordinary Edition, printed on India paper by Gilbert & Rivington. London, Downey & Co., 1902. 27 x 37 cm (oblong). (4) [Title / TOC], 120 pages plus 12 Mezzotint Engravings, as called for. Original boards, rebacked with new cloth spine and Japanese paper hinges with original green moire cloth boards. Good condition. Binding rubbed and bumped, with some material losses to corners (see images). Half-title and first title page chipped on side edges; light chipping to edges of feps and pages. Internally dust dulled with light ink smudging from plates to opposite pages. Despite the wear; still an impressive book with wonderful illustrations.
