Vol.1 & 3: Recent quarter calf over marbled boards. Raised bands. Brown labels with title, author and volume in gilt. New end papers. / Vol.2: Older speckled calf with title and gilt lines on spine. / Vol. 4: Older calf with title label and gilt lines on spine. Vol. 1 & 3: Minor shelf wear, rubbing and bumping. Volume 3: Rubbed and bumped. Front and rear joints open. Hinges repaired internally. Binding sound. / Vol. 4: Rubbed and bumped. Half of the spine label missing. Name of previous owner in ink on front free end paper. Ex library (vol.4 only) with a few round red library stamps. All volumes internally age darkened and very mildly foxed, some staining, a few tears. All edges age darkened.
