Original highly decorated red cloth. Gilt title, author and volume number on spines. Armorial and decorative blind stamping to front and rear boards. Very good condition. Tight bindings. Minor shelf wear, rubbing and bumping to binding. Some age darkening and foxing internally. Book is unopened and has not been read. Tissue guard for frontispiece in volume one is loose. Tissue guard for frontispiece in volume 2 is missing. Edges age darkened and a little foxed. Heads dust dulled.
