Illustrated throughout with hundreds of portraits, arms, vignettes, leading letters, etc. in text. Vol. 1 with three full page engraved Plates. Vol.2 with 10 engraved Plates, nine of which are full page. Rebound in modern fine red half morocco over cloth covered boards. Two blue spine labels per volume with gilt titles and authors. Gilt decorations. New marbled end papers. Very good conditions. Solid bindings with minimal shelf wear. Name of previous owner on title pages scratched out. Internally age darkened and foxed to various, but generally mild degree. A very good set.

With Designs of Floors of variety of small pieces of Wood, lately made in the Pallace of the Queen Mother, at Sommerset-House; a Curiosity never practiced in England before.

His Commentaries of the Prelates of Ireland from the first Planting of Christianity there, to the year 1665: to which is now added a Continuation therof to 1704; and a Catalogue of all the Chancellors and Provosts of Trinity College, Dublin, from its Foundation; together with the present Fellows. 4. His two Books of the Writers of Ireland, wherein are many remarkable Pieces of Antiquity, much Augmented from the Author’s Original Manuscripts. 5. By way of Appendix is added that rare and Admirable Discourse of Sir John Davis, Knight, of the Cause why Ireland was no sooner reduced to the Obedience of the Crown of England.
