A nice set overall.

Good condition with several plates being absent. Binding rubbed, bumped and stained. Internally age darkened and occasionally spotted. Some stains and small tears. Remains an impressive folio with more than 70 original architectural copper plate engravings. Please review all ten images to gain better insight in the condition of the book and its binding.

Ex Libris on front paste downs. Name of previous owner on front free end papers, dated 1787. Internally mildly age darkened, but otherwise very clean. A very nice copy.

Coloured end papers. Very good condition. Serious rubbing and bumping to corners, boards and spine. Age darkened and foxed throughout, some knicks and small tears, minor paper losses. Generally still a nice copy. Two Ex Libris on front paste down: Robert Wakefield and Alan Francis Brooke.

The Second Edition. London, Printed for Robert Horsfield, 1768. 27 x 21 cm. iv, (6) [TOC], 105 pages, (38) [Index], 33 double page Maps, as listed. Contemporary full calf. Raised bands. Spine label with gilt title. Good condition only. Binding seriously rubbed and bumped with material losses (see images). Front and rear free end papers missing. Front and rear boards still connected but hinges and joints cracked. Front and rear paste downs have been used for drawings and inscriptions ( see images). Lower corner of title page missing, not affecting text. Title page creased and stained. Rest of the text block in very good clean condition. Half of Map XIII (Hellas) missing. Other maps with short closed tears along the folding lines, generally not affecting the actual Maps. As a collection of 32 Maps or a candidate for rebinding.
