Name of previous owner (‘James Kirkwood ?, Woodbrook, Sep. 13th, 1826’) on title page in ink. Small bookseller label on front paste down. See images. A good rerading copy of the now scarce first edition.

Binding rubbed and bumped with minor abrasions and material losses to spine ends and corners. Hinges weak, but holding. Boards remain attached. Edges and end papers age darkened. Ex Libris on front paste downs. Name of previous owner on front free end papers, dated 1787. Internally mildly age darkened, but otherwise very clean. A very nice copy.
