Martín Fierro is an epic poem of 2,316 lines by the Argentine poet and politician José Hernández. It was originally published in two parts (El Gaucho Martín Fierro 1872 and La Vuelta de Martín Fierro 1879) and since then has come to be known as Argentina’s national poem and has been translated into over 70 languages.
This edition features a foreword by Jose Luis Borges and line-drawn illustrations by Alberto Guiraldes.
