Collection De Gammes, Exercises et Passage pour Piano par Henri Herz. No. 6190. Two volumes bound in one. London, 1. J.B. Cramer & Co. / 2. Schott & Co., Not dated, ca. 1840 & 1900. 34 x 25 cm. 15 pages and 27 pages. Sheet music with some text instructions and two pages of publishers catalogs. Cloth covered stiff cardboard covers. Very good condition in fair binding. Binding seriosuly rubbed, bumped, dicoloured and stained. Candidate for rebinding. Internally some foxing and dust dulling. Some pages annotated in pencil. Names of previous owners on title pages (Anna M. Pelly / Benita [Pelly] 1903). Provenance: From the Library of Sir Alan Francis Brooke, Field Marshal Alanbrooke, 1st Viscount Alanbrooke. These books originally belonged to Benita Pelly, later Brooke and her mother Anna Maria Pelly (1868 – 1939).
