Slightly foxed, dustjacket mildly age darkened, otherwise very good condition. A collection of ballads, intended for reading aloud. They show William Plomer’s acute sense of character, place, and period, and an ironical sense of humour. The volume includes a parody of Hardy, and also ‘The Bungalows’, a poem of less levity.
