Uniform dark brown leather bindings. Appears to be rebound using old boards, but adding a new spine in matching leather. Boards are extensively blind decorated. Pieces of the original spine are losely inserted in the book. Marbled edges and end papers. Very good condition. Rubbed and bumped. Sound bindings. Edges and end papers dust dulled. Gift inscription in volume 1. Name of previous owner (‘Denis M. Tierney’) in volume 2. Otherwise internally clean. A very nice set.
