Some shelf wear, rubbing and bumping. Front hinge professionally reinforced. Edges and end papers dust dulled. Occasional mild browning and mild damp staining to a few pages. Otherwise internally clean. A very nice copy in a sturdy contemporary binding.

Seriously rubbed and bumped with small material losses to spine ends and corners. Some foxing to first and last few pages of each volume. Library sticker on front board of volume 2. No further library marks or stamps. Ex libris of previous owner (‘Maurice Brooks’) on front paste down of both volumes. Top of front hinge of volume 1 started to crack. Bindings sound.
