Internally age darkened and in places edgeworn. Some dog ears and minor tears. Last few pages show a damp stain. Overall a nice volume in a sturdy modern binding.

Front board covered with blind stamped leather cover. Red textured end papers. All edges gilt. Very good condition. Rubbed and bumped. Binding shaky, but holding. Some remnants of early tape repairs. Internally dust dulles, a few mild stains and closed tears. A fascinating piece.

Front and rear joind cracked, front hinge weakened, but boards still firmly attached. Ex Libris of previous owner (Sir Robert Johnson Eden Bart.) on front paste down. Internally slightly age darkened and some very mild foxing. A very clean copy.
