Volumes 1, 3 & 5 bound together in one volume. London, Printed and Sold by Preston, Hurst, Robinson & Co., 1822. 25 x 17 cm. Each volume contains 50 song lyrics with accompanying musical notation, and a leaf of index at the end. Vol.1 also a Preface (ii) and a 19 page ‘Dissertation concerning the National Melodies of Scotland’. Contemporary hald calf over paper covered boards. Spine label with gilt title. Very good condition. Binding seriously rubbed and bumped. Some damage to top of spine (see images). Front free end paper missing. Internally agae darkened.

Vol. 3: 135 & viii, 135 pages. Vol. 4: 62, 42, 40 & 48 pages. Uniform red morroco with gilt titles on front boards. Blind and gilt line decorations. Name of previous owner (‘Queenie Mason’) on all four front boards in gilt. Decorative end papers. Very good condition. Some shelf wear, rubbing and bumping. Edges dust dulled. Some plays slightly age darkened. Name of previous owner neatly inscribed. A very nice set in uniform bindings.

Also losely inserted two newspaper clippings about the dicovery of the Tsarist graves in 1992. A very nice set. See images.
