Volumes 1 & 2. London, Printed & Sold by Preston, Hurst, Robinson & Co., [1822]. 25 x 18 cm. Each volume contains 50 song lyrics with accompanying musical notation, and a leaf of index at the end. Vol.1 also a Preface (ii) and a 19 page ‘Dissertation concerning the National Melodies of Scotland’. Later fine half calv over marbled boards. Gilt decorations. Red spine label with gilt title. See images. Very good condition. Fine bindings with minimal shelf wear. Internally age darkened. Some edge wear and occasional mild foxing. See images. Name of previous owner on both title pages. Neat gift inscription in volume 1, dated 1828. Overall a very attractive set.

Full page engraving between pages 77 and 78. New half cloth over decorated paper covered boards. Contemporary red morroco label [‘Mrs. T. Moore’] from original binding on front board. Partially trimmed inscription on top of second title page (6th Number), possibly by the author?

Clean and complete score.
