There’s never any food in his gloomy old house – all he cares about are his big gilt-framed paintings. When Tom goes to visit and can’t find anything to eat for breakfast, he discovers that he can pull apples and oranges out of the Cezanne and the Zurbaran. But then he can’t ge them back right! Rembrandt has been watching from a self-portrait, and he offers to help. But Tom soon has his hands full when the artist, free for the first time in 300 years, wants to go for a walk around town.
