A scholar of comparative literature in the European tradition, Poggioli’s areas of expertise encompass literary historiography, the theory of the avant-garde, the notion of modernity, decandence and barbarism, Russian literature, and Dante. His daughter Silvia is European correspondent for National Public Radio. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket.
