Ten pages followed by 38 Plates, each preceded by an Explanation of the various Figures on each Plate. 38 The Plates are numbered 1-37, with 2 Plates for #17, titled Plate XVII & XVII*. Complete. Original brown cloth with gilt titles on front board and spine. Black line decorations to front board. Dark brown end papers. All edges gilt. Very good condition. Rubbed and bumped with small material losses to spine ends and corners (see images). Edges dust dulled. Internally mildly foxed / browned in places. Other wise clean, without any annotations. A nice clean copy. Carl Ernst Bock (1809 – 1874) was a German physician and anatomist.
