Original green cloth with gilt title on spine. In original clipped dust jacket. Very good condition. Minor shelf wear, rubbing and bumping. Edges and end papers dust dulled. Gift inscription on front free end paper: ‘For Alan and Benita from Anne and Arthur [Bryant] Christmas 1956’, followed by a quote by Coleridge. Athur Bryant published two books (The Turn of the Tide & Triumph in the West) based on the war diaries of Field Marshal Alanbrooke in the 1950s.
