All three volumes are illustrated with numerous full page plates. Volume 1 contains a large map, engraved by J. Rogers, which is identical to the map used in the Tallis atlas. Contemporary hald calf over textured boards. Gilt title and volume numbers on dark spine labels. Spine decorated with small gilt harp symbols and other gilt decoration. Binding by Cochrane Binders Belfast (small binder sticker on rear paste downs). Edges green speckled. Very good condition. Corners, boards and spine rubbed and bumped. Edges dust dulled. Inner hinges all cracked, but binding sound. Internally age darkened with occasional browning and foxing mainly to first and last pages. Text block generally bright and clean. A few closed tears, dog ears etc. Most illustrations still have lose tissue guards.
